MORNING DEVOTION

 

MORNING PRAYER

And the inhabitants of one city

shall go to another, saying, Let us

go speedily to pray before the

LORD, and to seek the LORD of

hosts: I will go also.

INSPIRATION

We were all introduced to our

savior, Jesus Christ, through

someone else. When we truly

understand salvation, it is not

enough for us to simply receive it.

In our excitement, we will gladly

go tell others about this

miraculous savior. The prophet

describes how when a city came to

know the Lord, they rushed to pray

and seek God so that they could go

to another city to share this good

news. The Word tells us we are

commissioned to tell others the

good news - let us go quickly!

PRAYER

Dear God, thank you for loving us

enough to send your son, Jesus

Christ, to save us from our sins and

offer us eternal life. Do not let us

keep this amazing story to

ourselves! Give us the courage and

faith to go where you have called

us - to our neighbors and to the

ends of the earth - to share your

good news. May we continue to

pray and seek you. Present us with

daily opportunities to go to others

with your message of salvation. In

Jesus' name, amen.
